I am egg.mam (Eggu.Mamu), a former childcare worker raising a 2-year-old daughter.
I worked for about 5 years, focusing on infants (0-2 years old) at a licensed daycare. The first half was at a general licensed daycare, and for the latter half, about 2 years, I was at a daycare that incorporated Montessori education. Through in-house training and OJT with senior childcare workers, I practiced basic concepts such as "sensitive period," "work," and "creating an environment." The belief that children have the ability to grow on their own—that is what I am still imbued with today during my time with my daughter.
I resigned when my first child was born and am now working as a writer for the MY STELLA blog. My expertise in "seeing things from a child's perspective," which I learned in the field, and my "motherly intuition" that prioritizes my child, are both written about without omission.
Morning dressing battles, naptime negotiations, and the futility of late-night tuck-ins. My role is to record these small daily happenings with a smile. I feel like I'm writing a chapter for moms and dads who are searching on their smartphones late at night, asking, "Is our child okay?"
In my personal art book "MY STELLA," I became involved in this activity because I can't forget the moment my daughter recognized her own name. From then on, I will deliver the joys and worries of raising children, along with a little smile.
