For more than half a century in Shizuoka, we have been walking with the world of printing. She grew up as the third daughter of a large family of seven, and after graduating from high school, she got a job at a bank. After that, I went to work for a printing company, and since then, the scent of ink and paper has been my life companion. As someone who knows the era of letterpress printing, I cherish the warmth of the manual process of picking up each type and the joy of the smell of a newly bound book. It is a memory that I want to convey because it is now digitalized. Raising children was a series of ingenuity and love. Sometimes he created a small space for children in a corner of the printing factory, but he did not miss reading picture books more than 300 days a year. When I read Chihiro Iwasaki's "Ameno Hinorusuban", I understand both the feelings of a waiting child and the feelings of a mother who is late due to work, and I sometimes cry.
